Bits & Pieces

Bits and Pieces takes as its starting point the theorem by Friedemann Schulz von Thun by the name of "Inner Team". Schulz von Thun is a psychologist and an expert in intrapersonal and interpersonal communication. In the "inner team" it is described how each individual has a set of "voices" in their head. An inner plurality of sorts. How these voices have different characteristics and different functions.

This piece attempts to examine some of these voices, these characters. It uses self-written texts and movement language that attempts to represent these different parts of the individual's psyche. Through the above mentioned process it speaks to an inner overstimulation of an individual and how it is mirrored by the external overstimulation imposed on us by today's societies. Utilizing both scores and improvisation tools it is composed by different chapters, with each of them leaning on a different "voice".
