Funky & Clunky

The Untold Adventures of Funky & Clunky is a comedic dance work that combines elements of theatre, dance and slapstick. The piece tells the story of John and David, two young adults in their late 20s working intense hours to keep jobs they are dissatisfied with. They are both overburdened with responsibilities that far outscale their quality of life.

They sit next to each other in their own cubicle and exchange little paper notes, creating imaginary stories about their alter egos: Funky and Clunky. These stories serve as an escape mechanism of the two adults overwhelmed by the capitalist system of the global west.
